Tropical cyclone Hanna is forecast to affect our region from late
tonight into Saturday night. Please refer to the latest forecasts
and advisories from the National Hurricane Center. Weak high
pressure is expected to build over the region in the wake of the
storm for Sunday and Monday. A cold front from the northwest is
slated to move through the region Tuesday. Another high pressure
system will build into the region for Wednesday.

Tonight... Se winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Showers with isolated tstms. Vsby decreasing to 1 nm or less late this evening and overnight.
Sat... Se winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts to around 50 kt. Seas 5 to 8 ft... building to 7 to 12 ft in the afternoon. Periods of rain. Vsby 1 nm or less.
Sat Night... S winds 35 to 45 kt with gusts up to 55 kt...becoming W 30 to 40 kt after midnight. Seas 8 to 13 ft...subsiding to 6 to 9 ft after midnight. Periods of rain mainly in the evening. Vsby 1 nm or less...increasing overnight.
Sun... NW winds 15 to 20 kt...diminishing to 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 7 ft...subsiding to 3 to 5 ft in the afternoon.
Sun Night... SW winds 5 to 10 kt...becoming W after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
Mon... NE winds 5 to 10 kt...becoming se in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 ft.

south southwest of Fenwick Island Delaware.

Small craft should remain in port on Saturday. Boat owners should
check their moorings.

... Waves...

The waves are forecast to reach 10 to 12 feet Saturday at the
Delaware Bay buoy. Waves along the beaches will break on the order
of 6 to 7 feet.

... Winds...

Sustained winds of tropical storm force... greater than 39 mph
with gust up to 60 mph... are possible beginning early Saturday
morning and lasting into the late afternoon.

Tropical Storm Hanna could produce wind gusts similar to the
mothers day storm of 2008.

... Probability of hurricane/tropical storm conditions...

Over Atlantic coastal waters... there is a 50 percent chance of
sustained tropical storm force winds of 39 mph or greater on
Saturday. There is a 30 to 40 percent chance of tropical storm
force winds over Delaware Bay
