Synopsis For Baffin Bay To Rio Grande Out 60 Nm-
Forecast as of 3:03 am CST on November 20, 2008
Synopsis... Moderate onshore winds and low seas persist today and this evening as broad surface high pressure continues over much of the Gulf. A strong cold front surges south after midnight sweeping across the coastal waters by sunrise Friday. In anticipation of strong north winds and building seas small craft advisories have been posted for the Laguna Madre and the coastal waters. Surface high pressure quickly shifts east behind the front with winds veering and seas slowly lowering Friday night into Saturday. Onshore flow becomes established Saturday into Sunday with borderline small craft conditions anticipated Saturday with the pressure gradient slow to relax. Improving conditions can be expected Sunday and Monday.

Friday... North winds 20 to 25 knots with some gusts around 30 knots...diminishing to 15 to 20 knots late in the afternoon. Choppy on the Bay. Slight chance of showers.
Friday Night... North winds around 15 knots becoming northeast 5 to 10 knots after midnight. A light chop on the Bay. Slight chance of showers.
Saturday... Light winds becoming southeast around 10 knots. A light chop on the Bay. Slight chance of showers.
