Synopsis... Generally light winds will continue over the coastal waters today. A cold front with strong northerly winds will move south across the marine area this evening and overnight. Small craft advisories will likely be needed late tonight. The strong northerly winds will continue...especially farther offshore through Friday night...but will become more easterly over the weekend. The moderate to strong easterly wind will maintain offshore wave heights around 5 to 6 feet through most of the weekend...especially beyond 30 miles offshore.

Rest Of Today... Northwest winds around 10 knots becoming west in the afternoon. Bay waters mostly smooth.
Tonight... West winds around 10 knots becoming north 10 to 15 knots late in the evening...then increasing to around 20 knots after midnight. Bays and coastal waterways becoming choppy to rough.
Friday... North winds around 20 knots becoming northeast 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters choppy to rough.
Friday Night... Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Bay waters choppy to rough.
Saturday... Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming east 5 to 10 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Bay waters a light chop.
Saturday Night... East winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northeast after midnight. Bay waters smooth.
Sunday... East winds 5 to 10 knots. Bay waters smooth.
Monday... South winds 5 to 10 knots in the morning becoming variable less than 10 knots...then northwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Bay waters a light chop. Scattered showers.
