Synopsis... High pressure over the southeast United States is forecast to weaken Tuesday as a weak cold front approaches the lower Mississippi River valley. The cold front will move east across the central Gulf Coast region early Wednesday...and will bring an increase in showers and thunderstorms Tuesday through Wednesday. A moderate offshore wind sets up late Wednesday following the frontal passage. Lower seas are anticipated late in the period.

Wednesday... West winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northwest around 15 knots late in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bays and coastal waterways a light to moderate chop. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night... Northwest winds around 15 knots becoming north after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bays and coastal waterways choppy.
Thursday... North winds around 15 knots becoming northwest in the late morning and early afternoon...then decreasing to 5 to 10 knots late in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bays and coastal waterways a light chop.
