Synopsis... High pressure over the southeast United States is forecast to weaken Tuesday as a weak cold front approaches the lower Mississippi River valley. The cold front will bring an increase in showers and thunderstorms with the higher coverages forecast to occur on Tuesday night. A moderate offshore wind sets up late Wednesday following the frontal passage. Lower seas are anticipated late in the period.

Tuesday Night... Southeast winds around 15 knots becoming south 15 to 20 knots early in the morning. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Widespread showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday... Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 10 to 15 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
