NOTE:  On 9/12/08, the buoy went adrift as Hurricane Ike approached.  The buoy later passed through the eye of Hurricane Ike and re-moored itself near 29.2N 94.8W on 9/13/08 until it was recovered on 12/1/08.  Data while adrift and during its re-moored period south of Galveston, as well as data while on the historical location are included in these data records.
