... Flood Warning extended until Friday July 11... the Flood Warning
continues for
the big Muddy river near Murphysboro.
* Until Friday July 11... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:45 PM Thursday the stage was 25.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
early Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 24.0 feet... some minor flooding affects houses just
downstream of bridge street in Murphysboro.

The Flood Warning continues for the Mississippi River at Cape
Girardeau.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10 am Thursday the stage was 42.3 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 42.0 feet
by tomorrow morning.
